Our learning model

ISTEM at Quantanova

We go beyond traditional STEM. At Quantanova, the I stands for Innovation – the habit of spotting problems, imagining solutions and actually building them.

I
Innovation

Student-led problem solving, idea generation & prototyping every week.

S
Science

Strong conceptual foundations with hands-on experiments in our labs.

T
Technology

Early exposure to coding, robotics and digital making in age-appropriate ways.

E
Engineering

Design thinking, building models and testing them like real engineers.

M
Mathematics

Math as a language to understand patterns, data and everyday decisions.

How a typical week looks

Monday to Friday focuses on core academics, concept clarity and skill building. Saturday is where all of it comes alive – students use what they learnt to solve meaningful problems.

  • Morning concept labs for Maths & Science with manipulatives and real examples.
  • Technology slots for coding puzzles, robotics kits and digital projects.
  • Communication circles for presentations, debates and reflective journaling.
  • Regular assessments based on understanding, not just memorisation.

What students gain over the years

Our goal is not just scoring well in exams, but shaping confident, curious and responsible young problem-solvers.

  • Ability to break down real-life problems into smaller, solvable parts.
  • Experience working in diverse teams and respecting different ideas.
  • Comfort with using modern tools – from lab equipment to laptops.
  • A portfolio of projects that showcase creativity and impact.
Every Saturday

Innovation Day – the heart of Quantanova

Saturdays are completely dedicated to activities, challenges and projects. Students explore tough, tricky questions and real-life problems – with full support from mentors, labs and resources.

What happens on Innovation Day?

Each Saturday follows a structured yet exciting format that balances creativity with discipline.

  • Creative Tasks Students explore hands-on activities that build curiosity and imagination.
  • Group Challenges Simple teamwork-based challenges that develop collaboration and confidence.
  • Exploration Time Open-ended discovery sessions using age-appropriate materials and tools.
  • Sharing & Reflection Students talk about what they tried, learned, and enjoyed during the activities.

Types of problems students work on

Some examples of Saturday problem prompts and innovation ideas students may explore:

  • Design a way to reduce water wastage at home or in school.
  • Reimagine the school bag to be lighter, smarter and more organised.
  • Create a simple device or system to help younger children learn tables.
  • Plan a community awareness campaign about plastic waste.
